Promethean: Promethean’s ACTIVstudio sets new standards for group learning
London — Promethean announces a world first in interactive whiteboard systems, further demonstrating its commitment to providing innovative and robust solutions for the education marketplace.
The new Network version of its established ACTIVstudio software now includes embedded digital curriculum resources, a world first that is set to change in-classroom teaching. Teachers can have instant access to appropriate resources, and even the novice can quickly deliver electronic teaching proficiently. Another new feature provides centralised user profiling and resource management facilities; all content, customised flipcharts and other prepared lessons are available to any whiteboard in the network; maximising access to resource sharing and reuse opportunities. In addition, Promethean has included ‘Calligrapher’, an innovative handwriting recognition system that requires no training to use. Calligrapher caters for a mixture of freehand cursive, single character and symbolic recognition giving teachers a greater degree of flexibility.
