Pristine.com Presents Its First Live Internet Seminar

September 19, 2001

Pristine.com successfully presented its first Live Internet Seminar last month, taking its Internet training for short-term traders to the next level. This new form of training gives Pristine clients the chance to receive exceptional training for a fraction of the cost at a time and place convenient to them. With live broadcast via the Internet, featuring streaming video and dynamic PowerPoint slide presentations, online attendees were able to see and hear trading master Oliver Velez teach The Pristine Methodâ„¢. Pristine is now one of the first educational day trading firms in the world to use the Internet to train students to become master traders.

Anthony Nunes, VP of Pristine Services, who is responsible for setting up Pristine.com’s internet infrastructure, explained some of the history behind Pristine’s first Internet seminar: “We have been wanting to do live Internet events long before the technology was available. As soon as it became available, we tested its effectiveness with a two-hour seminar priced at only $50. The demand far exceeded our expectations and has set the stage for bigger, more robust events. We found that no matter what a person’s connection speed is, they can participate.”

The two biggest advantages of Internet training, Nunes explains, are the low cost and convenience to the client. Not everyone can attend onsite seminars, especially if they don’t live near a major city or their schedule doesn’t allow them time away from the home or office. With Internet training, one can receive the training at a time and place that is convenient to them. “Instead of having them come to us, we’re coming to them, on their computer,” Nunes says. “It’s the next best thing to being at the actual live event.”

Due to the overwhelming positive response this initial event received, Pristine has scheduled its next Internet event titled “Trading The Pristine Way” which will be a more comprehensive session covering five hours of education. It will consist of three 90-minute courses followed by a 30-minute Q&A session. Oliver Velez will teach students the ins and outs of swing trading, Greg Capra will teach advanced intra-day trading tactics, and Dan Gibby will discuss dynamic options strategies.

“The desire to extend our educational reach beyond the scope of our physical centers is what motivated us to utilize this technology,” says Oliver L. Velez, Chairman, CEO and co-founder of Pristine Capital Holdings, Inc., the parent company of Pristine.com. “Online, distance learning has become one of the fastest growing segments of the new economy, and Pristine will harness the power of this medium to leverage its offerings and bring its unique teachings to every major region of the world.”
