October 17, 2001

Primedia Workplace Learning, a PRIMEDIA company and the leading provider of integrated learning solutions for more than 8 million professionals, and its Law Enforcement Television Network (LETN) announced today an agreement with the Office of Science & Technology (OS&T) of the National Institute of Justice – the research arm of the U.S. Department of Justice.

LETN – the leading provider of responsive, quality training, education, information and news resulting in a more professional, efficient law enforcement community – will incorporate information from OS&T on emerging technologies, their uses and other related issues into its video programming.

“By integrating content from the Office of Science & Technology, Primedia Workplace Learning is substantially increasing its product offering and adding a critical video component to OS&T’s outreach effort,” said Josh Klarin, CEO of Primedia Workplace Learning. “We are pleased to join forces with such a credible, powerful provider of information to the law enforcement community and add to our industry leading curriculum by providing our subscribers with increasingly better and more useful programming.”

LETN is transforming a portion of OS&T’s research portfolio into its curriculum to demonstrate how certain technologies are applicable to the law enforcement arena. The 30-minute video program will be shown on LETN and duplicated, packaged and mailed to approximately 16,000 agencies.
