Plateau Systems and quickCompliance partner to offer complete hipaa training solution for the enterprise

December 11, 2002

Under the agreement, Plateau and QuickCompliance will combine customized HIPAA training content with an enterprise software platform that schedules, tracks, and delivers all Web-based and classroom HIPAA training. Under the HIPAA regulation signed into law by Congress in August 1996, all organizations that handle protected health information (PHI), from insurance companies to healthcare providers, must train their workforce on new privacy rules and organizational policies and procedures relating to the confidentiality and appropriate treatment of this information. After April 14, 2003, organizations and employees that fail to comply with these guidelines will face substantial fines.

Plateau and QuickCompliance currently are working with Booz Allen Hamilton to deliver HIPAA training to 130,000 healthcare providers across the entire Military Health System, a health care program for active duty and retired members of the uniformed services, their families, and survivors.

QuickCompliance’s industry-leading HIPAA training solution offers a full suite of highly interactive and engaging courses that promote learning and performance improvement by job title and job activity. With its unique ability to manage and automatically deliver training and training revisions to thousands of employees, Plateau 4 LMS provides organizations with a single, scalable software platform to manage HIPAA training and other organizational knowledge.

“Organizations seeking to optimize their performance in handling PHI, with a tight deadline to comply with HIPAA regulations, will greatly benefit from this partnership, which combines QuickCompliance’s HIPAA expertise with Plateau’s proven Learning Management System, ” said John Danaher, M.D., QuickCompliance’s Chief Executive Officer.

“We are pleased to be working with QuickCompliance on a solution that addresses an immediate and critical business need for any organization that manages protected health information,” said Paul Sparta, Plateau’s Chairman and CEO.
