Peterson’s Selected to be Primary College Search Provider for Yahoo! Education

Peterson’s, part of the Thomson Corporation (TSE:TOC) announced an agreement with Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO) to be the primary provider of college search and selection information for the College Essentials area of Yahoo!® Education (http://education.yahoo.com).

Visitors on Yahoo! Education are invited to search, for free, a database of more than 3,700 four-year colleges and universities, as well as junior and community colleges, either by institution name or location. Students can learn about entrance requirements, the latest available tuition costs, student-faculty ratios, research and library facilities, housing, athletics, student body breakdown, application contacts, and other valuable college planning information. Peterson’s combined data collection efforts are directed at colleges, graduate programs, financial aid providers, and all involve more than 84,000 surveys that are completed each year by institutions in the U.S., Canada, and all over the world.
