Partnership with RedSiren Expands GeoLearning Information Security Courseware

December 6, 2004

GeoLearning, Inc., the leading provider of managed learning servcies and hosted learning platforms, announced today the expansion of its relationship with RedSiren, the world’s most trusted provider of IT security management solutions. Under terms of the agreement, GeoLearning will host courseware from RedSiren Institute™, a virtual classroom where organizations can access education and training courses on IT Security Management issues. GeoLearning will also co-market RedSiren’s courseware to its customer base, delivered via its GeoMaestro™ learning management system (LMS), the e-commerce and delivery platform behind RedSiren Institute.

RedSiren Institute offers more than 30 online classes, with subjects ranging from basic information security awareness to courses that can be used in updating professional IT security certifications. The courses, written by many of the leading experts in information security, are designed to educate people at all levels of an organization about the role they play in keeping their networks and corporate-critical information secure from unauthorized access. RedSiren Institute classes may be purchased on an individual basis, or in packages for corporate-wide delivery.

“Companies and government agencies increasingly face information security issues that must be addressed through continued awareness and education,” said Spencer Thornton, Learning Content Product Manager at GeoLearning. “Concerns about corporate and homeland security, cyber-terrorism and government regulatory requirements demand quality learning content at all levels of the organization. Courses from RedSiren Institute, hosted through GeoLearning, provide quality content designed to help enterprises protect their information assets and increase employee understanding of security principles and practices.”

RedSiren chose GeoLearning’s GeoMaestro LMS for its capacity to support heavy traffic, its unique personalization capabilities, and robust reporting features that enable it to track and measure learner success,” said Todd Ludwig, RedSiren’s Director of Content Development and Operations. “GeoLearning not only met but exceeded our LMS criteria and clearly stood out among the competition. They have been an excellent partner in helping us to distribute our courseware,” Ludwig added. “We look forward to GeoMaestro’s capabilities as we open new markets.”
