OpenUW free courses registered over 8,000 students in 2003

The OpenUW currently offers 13 short, noncredit online courses, covering topics from Greek mythology to HTML. These mini courses are based on current UW online credit courses, shortened and redesigned to give students quick and useful information. Students who want to pursue the full fee course can follow links to the UW registration websites. They can also purchase books and other materials for the courses online.

Since the OpenUW went live in May of 2002, it has registered about 13,700 students. Below is the list of courses, ranked by total registrations (user numbers add up to more than 13,700 because of folks who took more than one course):
