Official stresses dissertation results over university accreditation
Columbus University, with a Web site and an office in Picayune, Miss., is accredited by the World Association of Universities and Colleges, which primarily accredits online or distance-learning institutions. Columbus is not accredited by one of the six regional accrediting agencies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
