Numerex and Time Warner to Provide Wide Area Network to Galena Park ISD

Numerex Corp. (Nasdaq: NMRX), announced today through its subsidiary, Broadband Networks, Inc., an agreement with Time Warner Communications to provide Galena Park Independent School District (GPISD) with a wide area network (WAN) throughout their school district, enabling the exchange of voice and data between all GPISD schools.

The WAN is expected to provide students and teachers of GPISD with distance learning capabilities, high-speed Internet access as well as a plethora of other technological services. As a part of their partnership, Time Warner will provide the fiber connectivity to each school in the district while BNI provides the necessary hardware.
