Description: Education Leadership Summit
July 26-29, 2003
Why Should I attend?
The Education Leadership Summit is your opportunity to identify and establish a community-based leadership role for public television licensees in meeting local education needs. Recognizing the pressures we all face today, from budget deficits to digital, we can wait no longer. The Education Leadership Summit is an opportunity for key leaders from public television licensees, educational content providers, and representatives from national organizations to discuss our common mission—education.
The term, "educational services," is far from uniform in describing the role and scope of public broadcasting. This is true for each community, within distinct regions and for the entire nation.
The Summit will:
Raise the knowledge and awareness of education issues within the licensee community;
Provide the basis for a common understanding of how public broadcasting does - or could - provide meaningful services to the education community;
Identify and initiate planning for education services that are appropriate to public broadcasting and relevant to our licensee communities. | | Hits: 667 | | Added on: 08-Sep-2003 |
