February 22, 2001

MORRISVILLE, N.C. — Eduprise, the leading provider of enterprise e-Learning services for educational institutions and businesses, has been awarded a three-year contract to provide strategic planning, infrastructure migration and hosting support services, and instructional development services to assist Montgomery College (Montgomery County, Maryland) as its scales support for e-Learning to the enterprise level.

“We view e-Learning as a strategic tool for serving students and for helping the faculty continuously improve the learning outcomes of instruction. We want to create a learning environment that is convenient for students and allows them to opt for any combination of classroom-based courses and online courses to meet their changing individualized learning needs,” said Dr. Charlene Nunley, President of Montgomery College.

Academic and administrative leaders at Montgomery College have been working together to support e-Learning initiatives and were determined to achieve a return on investment as they increased and scaled support for their e-Learning program. Chief Information Officer Richard Leurig noted, “Moving to the next level of accomplishment required a partner with academic experience, as well as technology expertise. That’s why we selected Eduprise to augment our existing commitments to the academic program.”

“We applaud Montgomery College’s commitment to place the community’s students and needs at the center of the College’s universe,” said William Graves, Chairman and Founder of Eduprise. Graves continued by saying that “Montgomery College’s commitment to service will help inform every aspect of the enterprise e-Learning environment that the College will be planning, implementing, and supporting with our assistance.”

Specifically, Eduprise will provide a range of e-Learning services to Montgomery College, including the migration of existing online courses to a hosted WebCT course management system, on-site staffing to provide “walk-in” instructional design and course development assistance for instructors, 24×7 technical help desk for instructors and students, and WebCT software training for instructors.

Leurig added, “Our partnership with Eduprise will allow us to increase and scale our support for e-Learning, while not losing focus on other important aspects of our information technology plan.” Additionally, as SCT’s exclusive e-Learning services partner, Eduprise will complement the College’s commitment to the SCT Banner student administration system and help increase the overall quality of IT support that Montgomery College provides its academic programs.
