Manufacturers Embrace E-Learning

November 7, 2001

E-learning may have started in the office, but it can be just as effective on the manufacturing floor. After all, manufacturing employees frequently need to learn new tasks or take immediate action in response to problems or company changes. And workstations and kiosks on the factory floor are ideal for delivering much of the training that workers need, using text, audio, or video, depending on the complexity of the task at hand. For companies that implement e-learning carefully and strategically while communicating its value to employees, the payoff is not only cost savings, but also a more productive workforce.
