Macromedia Breeze provides a rich web communication system that enables educators to hold collaborative real-time meetings, instructor-led classes, and seminars, as well as to deliver on-demand informational presentations and e-learning courses. Faculty and staff of higher education institutions can communicate, collaborate, and teach via a single, easy-to-use, integrated solution that includes everything from live meetings to on-demand presentations. “Breeze delivers a rich, powerful learning experience that makes it easy for faculty and staff to quickly and effectively collaborate online,” said Ellen Wagner, director of global higher education, Macromedia. “We want as many people as possible to see how easy and powerful online teaching can be, so we’re opening up this offer for the entire month.”

Beginning May 3, educators in North America can sign up for a free Breeze account that will be available for the duration of the month. The account will allow a user to publish and manage online learning and presentations, and host free online meetings with up to five participants on the Macromedia hosted system. The offer is limited to the first 500 educators to sign up for an account.

“We wanted to create a virtual lab to teach a gaming development course. Breeze gave us the environment to collaboratively build the course, deliver an interactive, rich media online class, critique student work, and manage their progress,” said Jim Keggins, director of the Academy of Media Arts at Cerro Coso Community College in California. “It has completely changed the way we teach online.”
