LEARNTEC ’04 Focuses on European e-Learning Market

September 10, 2003

With its theme of “Focus on Europe,” the conference will highlight the growing trend toward European standardization of e-Learning techniques and strategies. Participating in LEARNTEC allows organizations around the globe to develop an understanding of the European marketplace and forge relationships with decision-makers who will shape the future of Europe’s e-Learning.

The international scope of the conference will be celebrated with an expanded version of the International LEARNTEC Forum (ILF), a pre-conference event which will bring guests from Africa, Asia, Central/Eastern Europe and the Americas together for the year’s most informative presentation of global e-Learning successes.

LEARNTEC ’04 will incorporate successful elements of previous conferences and include an important new European component – the eureleA: European Award for Exemplary Use of E-Learning. This award will be presented to organizations that demonstrate Europe’s best examples of applied e-Learning methods. The inaugural award presentation will take place at the ILF February 9.

In a demonstration of continued partnership with the European Union, LEARNTEC ’04 will be opened by Viviane Reding, the EU Commissioner for Education and Culture. Reding announced at LEARNTEC 2003 her “e-Learning Programme”, designed to facilitate the EU’s goal of helping Europe become an e-learning society.

The 12th Annual LEARNTEC European Conference and Trade Fair will take place in Karlsruhe, Germany, February 10-13, 2004. Hezel Associates is the North American Marketing Partner for the conference. Other American partners for the conference include Commerce Bank, IBM, Microsoft, Saba, Sun Microsystems, and time4you.

For companies and organizations interested in expanding into the growing European e-Learning marketplace, LEARNTEC’04 is the best place to start to gain a comprehensive understanding of Europe’s goals and needs. Hezel Associates is prepared to help U.S. companies find learning technology partners in Germany and Europe.
