Largest Worldwide IT Training Company Adopts Click2learn’s Aspen to Create and Manage Learning Programs for Up to 15 Million Users

November 12, 2002

BELLEVUE, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Nov. 12, 2002–Click2learn

(Nasdaq:CLKS) announced today that New Horizons Computer Learning Centers, Inc., the world’s largest IT training company, will deploy the entire Aspen Productivity Suite(TM) to create, deliver and manage its groundbreaking Integrated Learning program.

Aspen will power the Integrated Learning program in over 270 centers in 49 countries around the world, with a potential to reach more than 15 million corporate and individual users.

New Horizons Integrated Learning is a comprehensive approach to training that guides each learner through all stages of their learning lifecycle. Consisting of multiple methods of training, from classroom to e-learning, the learning experience is supported by a wide range of products and services that assess, reinforce, support and validate the transfer of knowledge.

To manage the different elements of the Integrated Learning program over the past several years, New Horizons had previously implemented multiple, disparate systems, which ultimately proved to be unwieldy. Through Aspen, New Horizons will be providing a single, unified point of access for learners and knowledge workers, managers, instructors and administrators across all of its target audiences, including enterprise accounts, small-to-medium businesses, and individual end-user consumers.

“As a global training company, our success depends on reaching millions of users worldwide with a robust, yet easy-to-use offering. A learning technology that we can rely on as the backbone for our Integrated Learning strategy is a mission-critical decision for us,” said Jess Hartmann, New Horizons CIO and VP. “We evaluated a wide range of solutions and chose Aspen. We believe it is the most scalable, comprehensive offering on the market and we’re confident it can meet the demands of such a large audience. Click2learn is an ideal supplier that will help us build a flexible and adaptive learning management system which is critical to providing comprehensive Integrated Learning solutions.”

“We are delighted to be working with New Horizons, a company with whom we share a common dedication to corporate learning solutions focused on improving productivity,” said Kevin Oakes, chairman and CEO of Click2learn. “New Horizons need for a large-scale, global solution was a perfect fit for the full power, rich functionality and scalability of the Aspen Suite. Through the strategic use of Aspen, we look forward to helping New Horizons provide a superior product to customers worldwide who rely on them for quality training.”
