Lansbridge University Partners With Chain-E Co. Ltd. to Market Degree Programs in Asia

March 23, 2001

Lansbridge University, one of the world’s first private, online, degree-granting universities, announced today that it has signed a partnership agreement with Taiwan-based human resources development consultancy Chain-E Co. Ltd. to market Lansbridge’s degree programs to students in Taiwan and mainland China.

Under the partnership agreement, Chain-E will aim to recruit at least 30 new Lansbridge eMBA and MBA students annually for the next two years from Taiwan, and eventually China, to complement the 11 students Lansbridge already has from Asia.

“This partnership agreement with Chain-E is a key addition to building our global partnership strategy for marketing Lansbridge University,” said David Large, dean of business programs for Lansbridge University. “Chain-E well complements the existing recruiting network of the Arthur D. Little School of Management in the USA, Synphonix in the United Kingdom and Europe, karROX Technologies Ltd. in India, and Stamford College in Malaysia.”

Lansbridge University was founded 18 months ago as an Internet-based university delivering flexible, affordable and market-driven management education focused on the fast economy. It offers an online Master of Business Administration (MBA) program in three models: an Executive MBA (eMBA), a joint Executive MBA and Master of Science in Management (eMBA/MSM), and a part-time MBA. Lansbridge now has a total of 92 students enrolled in the three models of its MBA program.

“Lansbridge University’s eMBA and MBA programs have great market competitiveness in Taiwan,” said Yoyo Chiang, CEO of Chain-E Co. Ltd. “The programs can provide our candidates with the high-tech knowledge management and global views that they cannot get from local schools.

“The next decade in Taiwan will see a very important changeover due to globalization. We need to embrace the rapid knowledge economy in order for Taiwan to build its position as an economic power in Great China and the rest of the world. Moreover, the strength of online education is that it allows students to choose the best education available, no matter where they are located.”
