August 25, 2004

To help would-be business and graduate students prepare for their entrance exams while juggling competing demands, Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions, a pioneer in online education and the largest provider of test prep worldwide, is launching new online courses for the GMAT(R) and GRE(R).

The GMAT(R), Graduate Management Admissions Test, is the required exam for students interested in business school, while the GRE(R), Graduate Record Exam, is required for those applying to programs at most graduate institutions.

“We developed the new GMAT(R) and GRE(R) online prep programs to help students achieve their goals in an increasingly time-crunched society,” said Justin Serrano, General Manager of Graduate Programs for Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions. “Additionally, more and more people are seeking secondary graduate degrees to enhance their career options. For these people, who are balancing incredibly busy schedules, online test prep provides terrific flexibility,”

Enrollment in online distance-education programs will grow 30% in 2004 to reach an estimated 915,000 students, according to education research firm Eduventures estimates that. An established leader in online test preparation, Kaplan currently provides Web-based test prep for a host of entrance exams including the SAT, LSAT, MCAT, PCAT, DAT, and OAT.

With programs available through private tutoring, classroom courses, books and online, Kaplan offers complete preparation for GMAT and GRE test takers.

Both the GMAT and GRE online preparation programs are flexible, on-demand courses providing in-depth review and score-raising strategies. Courses also include several full-length practice computer adaptive tests (CATs).

Additionally, students can access free extra help via email. Kaplan offers free GMAT and GRE testing and admissions events around the country. For events in your area, go to http://www.kaptest.com.
