Kansas State University: Courses offered for family and consumer sciences teachers

Kansas State University will offer summer TELENET 2 courses, which may be of interest to family and consumer sciences teachers. TELENET 2 is operated by the Kansas Regents Network and is a distance education system. It is a network of desktop videoconferencing units located in communities throughout Kansas. TELENET 2 links the entire state into one large classroom.

The following classes will be offered:

  • “Reading-Writing Connections,” May 15-31

  • “Reading and Study Skills Instruction,” June 4-27

  • “Literacy for Information and Workplace Technologies,” July 2-25

  • “Managing a Community of Learners,” July 9-12

  • “Motivating Students for Success,” July 16-19

  • “Motivating Hard-to-Reach Students,” July 23-26.
