Interactive University Announces £6 Million Singapore Deal

The deal was warmly welcomed by Deputy First Minister, Jim Wallace who was also in Singapore to open the new office of Scottish Development International.

Nanyang Institute of Management is Singapore’s leading provider of private education. The new agreement with Interactive University (IU) will enable a potential 1,500 students from Singapore to study for Scottish under-graduate and post-graduate courses through e-learning. Nanyang has expressed interest in the Heriot-Watt Management Programme and the MBA in Entrepreneurship and Business Venturing from the University of Stirling.

Interactive University now has a total of 40 local learning partners in 20 countries throughout the world, fulfilling the company’s ambitions to export Scottish education on a global scale. Its main target market is post-compulsory education in the developing world. IU currently serves over 90,000 students worldwide. Students are able to undertake programmes offered through Interactive University everywhere from Trinidad and Tobago through Africa, the Middle East and Asia to Papua New Guinea.
