Huge Gap Between College Costs, What Families Save; Tax-Deferred College Savings Plans Underused
It’s no secret that a college education provides a solid base for young people as they enter the working world. Most parents plan to send their kids to college, and according to a survey released today, 86 percent say that saving for their children’s education is their top financial priority. However, parents’ current savings habits show that few are doing enough to meet the increasing cost of college.
