HDTV presentation from MIT to the Networld+Interop exhibition floor in Las Vegas

Abilene, an Internet2 backbone network, recently enabled Ethernet inventor and 3Com founder Bob Metcalfe to deliver a live HDTV presentation from MIT to the Networld+Interop exhibition floor in Las Vegas. Abilene now connects over 180 universities, with at least one university in each of the 50 states. Many more participants are on the way; recent policy changes make Abilene connectivity possible for a much wider range of educational institutions, including community colleges, high schools, and libraries.
