Hawaii Department of Education Selects 3Com for Network Infrastructure Solutions

3Com Corporation (Nasdaq:COMS – news) today announced that the Hawaii Department of Education (HIDOE) has deployed $1.63 million worth of 3Com high-speed, chassis-based Switch 4007 switches, upgrading networks in 82 of its largest schools to Gigabit Ethernet and Layer 3 switching technologies. In addition, HIDOE chose the 3ComĀ® SuperStackĀ® 3 Switch 4900 for its central administrative office in Honolulu, based on proof that 3Com’s feature-rich LAN switches are less expensive and less complex than other manufacturers’ switches.
