GeoLearning Completes First Phase of Fed’s Electronic HR Integration Initiative

June 29, 2004

GeoLearning, Inc., the leading provider of ASP-hosted human capital management and development (HCMD) solutions, announced today that it has completed the first phase of a 5-year contract with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) valued at $7 million to provide Internet hosting and security services for the federal government’s Electronic Human Resources Integration (EHRI) initiative and related Web-based human capital performance tools. GeoLearning built and successfully deployed the EHRI technology infrastructure in just six weeks. The initiative is being hosted at GeoLearning’s new state-of-the-art Internet Data Center in Ashburn, VA and managed by GeoLearning’s Government Services Division.

The EHRI initiative is a comprehensive electronic record-keeping and analysis system covering the entire life cycle of federal employees from hire to retirement, supporting human resources management across the federal government at all levels from employees to senior management. EHRI will replace the current Official Personnel Folder (OPF) with an Official Electronic Record (OER) for some 1.8 million Executive Branch employees. Its systems will integrate with other OPM eGov initiatives, including eTraining, ePayroll, eClearance and eHRIS.

“A federal outsourcing contract of this prominence and magnitude is a testament to GeoLearning’s expertise in the area of human capital management, as well as clear vote of confidence for the scalability, reliability and security of our ASP hosting environment,” said Frank Russell, president and CEO of GeoLearning. “But just as impressive is the speed with which our Government Services Division was able to assemble and deploy a world-class system capable of supporting such a large technology initiative.”
