FCCJ gets DoD grant for distance learning
Florida Community College at Jacksonville has been awarded a $1 million Department of Defense grant to develop and provide distance learning to deployed service members.
The grant supports FCCJ’s initiative called Mobilizing Educational Technology to Support Combat Deployment. The initiative involves using personal digital assistants, CDs and emerging technologies to instruct service members with limited or no access to the Internet.
