ESI International Launches New Generation of e-Training Courses in Project Management

November 21, 2002

“ESI’s e-training courses provide the cost-effectiveness of distance learning, combined with the personal attention of our world-class instructors and the dynamic interactivity of our courses,” says ESI President Larry Seeley. “The quality of the graphics, the rich interactivity of the courseware and the variety of learning styles that our new instructional design accommodates offers our students a learning experience very similar to actually being in the ESI classroom — without having to travel.”

The new platform is based on several learning theories and methodologies that the educational community considers to be best practices. Students are placed in a fictional, but very lifelike environment and are faced with a series of specific project management problems to solve. The course provides all the materials needed to solve these problems, making each lesson within the course a valuable, contained educational tool.

ESI already offers popular online versions of many of its project management courses and will continue to migrate these existing e-training courses to the new platform. Two more courses, Project Leadership, Management and Communications and Project Management Applications, will be released with the new platform in January 2003.

The addition of these two courses will enable students to earn their Master’s Certificate in Project Management from The George Washington University and ESI entirely through online training.
