Elluminate Delivers Dynamic Online Interaction to Pennsylvania Department of Education and Chester County Educational Agency

May 18, 2004

Pompano Beach, Fla. (May 17, 2004) – Elluminate, Inc., a leading provider of live eLearning and Web conferencing solutions for the real-time organization, announced today that the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) Office of Educational Technology and the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) have selected Elluminate Live! to add dynamic interaction to learning activities and meetings, including a series of Webinars for the Pennsylvania Technology Leadership Academy for School Board Directors.

“Our goal was to be able to share information and improve communication in all the work we do,” said Michael Golden, director of educational technology for the PDE. “For example, we created a statewide work group to develop a streamlined strategic planning process for every school district. On two occasions, bad weather made meeting face-to-face impossible. With Elluminate Live!, we were able to have full attendance and participation with 40 people from across the commonwealth.”

“We selected Elluminate Live! because of its functionality and were particularly impressed that, unlike some other products, it provided full Mac support for all features, including application sharing,” said Gail Kennedy, supervisor of education technology for the CCIU. “We also liked the evaluation tools that enabled us to survey Webinar participants. They were thrilled to sit in their offices and hear a presentation from another part of the country without having to travel.”

“We are very pleased to help the PDE and CCIU take online interaction to the next level,” said Maurice Heiblum, Elluminate’s vice president of sales and marketing. “We look forward to working with both institutions to continue to discover new ways to use our No User Left Behind technology and superior user experience to provide learning activities and facilitate state-wide meetings.
