Eduprise, Inc. and Mascot Network, Inc. Partner to Provide Higher Education Best-In-Class e-Learning and Portal Services
MORRISVILLE, N.C. and CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Two leaders in the higher education market, Eduprise, Inc. and Mascot Network, Inc., today announced a marketing and technology agreement to provide colleges and universities with a wide range of value-added services, among them custom system integration and comprehensive e-Learning services, for use with Mascot’s Online Student Center.
Eduprise has been selected as one of Mascot’s premier Professional Services’ partners, providing custom system integration and comprehensive e-Learning services to Mascot’s customers. Mascot’s Online Student Center is the most popular of the campus portals under contract at over 100 schools nationwide. Educational institutions desiring a cohesive and comprehensive campus information, e-Learning, and student retention strategy, will benefit from the services that result from this strategic partnership of Eduprise and Mascot Network.
“Thanks to the expertise of Eduprise, colleges and universities can now combine their learning and administration platforms with services from the leading portal provider, Mascot Network, to create a powerful system capable of meeting virtually all current and future campus communication needs,” said Jaja Jackson, President and Co-Founder of Mascot Network. “The result of the integration will be a seamless experience for the student with one single login to access all administrative, learning and student services.”
Eduprise, a leading provider of e-Learning integration solutions, uses open standards where possible, such as those from the IMS (Instructional Management System) Global Learning Consortium and the Advanced Distributed Learning Initiative, which enable customers to choose the best application for their needs and avoid the potential vendor lock-in associated with non-open solutions. Eduprise also offers all of the services required for institutions to adopt e-Learning at the enterprise level, including assessment, strategy development, remote hosting, administration, ongoing maintenance, 7×24 student and faculty help desks, faculty development, course conversion, and evaluation services.
“The partnership of Eduprise and Mascot will give schools a fully integrated, scalable, and cost-effective campus information solution,” said Steve Griffin, Chief Technology Officer of Eduprise. “We are pleased to be working with Mascot to enable previously unavailable enterprise integration that enhances convenience and productivity of students, faculty, and administrators.”
Mascot’s Online Student Center is an exceptional tool for improving retention, affiliation and access to student services on college campuses. Mascot provides college students, professors and administrators with a gateway to web-enabled campus information, student-focused discounted products and services, and distance learning. The Online Student Center promotes the sharing of common interests and ideas beyond the boundaries of geography, resources, and time. This always accessible, interactive and dynamic portal solution helps institutions attract and retain students, build loyalty and create a strong sense of community.
The Eduprise services will be available to Mascot network clients in coordination with Mascot’s newly formed consulting organization (see “Mascot Network, Leading Campus Portal Provider, Forms Consulting Group,” March 14, 2001 for more details).
