Oblinger_DianaWashington, DC (April 3, 2014)— EDUCAUSE announced today that President and CEO Diana G. Oblinger will retire in March 2015. Dr. Oblinger has led the association for a decade, first as a vice president then as president.

Dr. Oblinger joined EDUCAUSE, a higher education technology association with 2,400 member colleges, universities, and corporations, in 2004 as a vice president and was named as president in 2008. Under her leadership, the association has seen sizable growth in membership, new programs, and influence.

“Each year since Diana came onboard, EDUCAUSE has expanded, most notably in the program offerings for members. Over the past few years there have been several new professional development programs, millions of dollars in grants that support transformative programs, new publications, more and better research, and a massive amount of outreach to the higher education community,” said Debra Allison, chair of the EDUCAUSE Board of Directors. “Thanks to Diana and her team, EDUCAUSE is well-known and highly respected. We are in a great position to build on the recent achievements and continue to advance thought leadership on technology in higher education.”
