eCollege(SM) Promotes Dr. Kathryn Winograd to Chief Academic Officer

eCollege(SM) (Nasdaq: ECLG – news) recently announced that it promoted Dr. Kathryn Winograd to chief academic officer.

“We are pleased to recognize Dr. Winograd for her contribution to both eCollege and her fellow educators,” said Oakleigh Thorne. “As the director of Academic ology in education. Dr. Winograd will also act as the internal and external advocate for academic excellence in eLearning, from product development to faculty training and instructional design support.

Dr. Winograd recently co-authored the McGraw-Hill published book You Can Teach Online, providing faculty with pedagogical techniques, and tools for developing online courses and using the Internet in the classroom. Additionally, Dr. Winograd is a feature writer for Converge Magazine and on the editorial board for The Technology Source. She has written contributed articles on technology and education in The Technology Source, Converge Magazine, Adjunct Advocate, Information Technology in Post-Secondary Education (ITPE), and The Bloomsberg Review. She has presented as a keynote speaker at various national education and technology conferences, and will continue to do so.

Dr. Winograd holds a Ph.D. in Literature and Writing from the University of Denver and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Iowa’s Writer’s Workshop.
