E-Rate Fraud Probe Widens
The House Energy and Commerce Committee had already instructed the CEO of the Universal Service Administration — the nonprofit that oversees the E-rate program — to produce 45,000 pages of documents. But much of the paperwork had been edited to hide the identities of companies and individuals, according to committee spokesman Ken Johnson.
