E-Learning Standards Push Evident In News From Training 2001 Conference In Atlanta

A number of happenings at the Training 2001 conference in Atlanta March 4-7 had a common denominator: they revolved in some way or another around efforts to create an industry-wide technology standard that will allow sharing of compliant e-learning content objects across disparate systems. At the show, it was clear the Shareable Courseware Object Reusable Model (SCORM) specification from the Department of Defense’s Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) was seen by many in the industry as the most workable model for an industry standard.
