DKSystems & Question Mark Announce Strategic Partnership
TRAINING 2001 – DKSystems, a leading developer of Learning Management System (LMS) solutions for the training market, has formed a strategic partnership with the premier testing and assessment software providers, Question Mark Corporation. The partnership builds on the integration of DKSystems’ OnTrack for Training® product suite with the Question Mark Perception online assessment system.
Users of the combined systems can benefit from DKSystems’ complete LMS that provides broad-based administration features and a flexible feature set together with Perception’s sophisticated test creation and statistical reporting capabilities. DKSystems is now marketing Perception in tandem with its own products.
OnTrack for Training users can now create and deploy Perception tests and surveys seamlessly to assess skills, pre-qualify for class registration, assign grades, and more. The results of these Web-based tests and surveys are automatically collected and stored in the OnTrack for Training database. By using DKSystems’ OnTrack Workflow Assistantä, training administrators can automate their rules and procedures for providing assessments even more effectively by incorporating them into their study programs.
“The integration of Perception assessments with OnTrack for Training expands the full-service training solution we strive to provide our clients,” stated David L. Kripke, president of DKSystems. “We are excited to be able to partner with such an innovative company as Question Mark.”
“We have been working with DKSystems for some time, and it is healthy for us to formalize our relationship,” said Question Mark president Eric Shepherd, “As Question Mark products are deployed at the enterprise level it is great to work with companies, like DKSystems, that have a proven track record and understand the issues involved.”
QM Perception offers full test creation and delivery, including numerous question wizards; multiple question banks for random assessments; interactive delivery on the Internet or intranets; instant feedback to participants; adaptive branching based on how questions are answered; online viewing of assessment results and question analysis; export of answers for custom reporting; and storage of answers, scores, and results in MS Access or SQL (Microsoft or Oracle) databases, as well as the OnTrack database.

About Question Mark
Question Mark has been producing testing and assessment software since 1988, enabling educators and trainers to write, administer, and report on tests and surveys securely using individual PCs, local networks, the Internet, and intranets.
Question Mark Perception software allows people to create question files without programming experience or knowledge of HTML. Participants can use a run-time system (with Perception for Windows) or a browser (with Perception for Web) to answer questions. For high stakes exams, where the content is valuable, Perception Secure Browser can be used to limit printing, navigation and save-to-disk functions. The participant receives the feedback that the test author has specified. Answers are then saved to a file for scoring and analysis with Enterprise Reporter, which offers a variety of report formats.
Businesses, governments, schools, colleges, and universities in more than 45 countries use Question Mark software. Typical applications include exams, quizzes, study aids, diagnostic tests, pre-course skills assessments, and course evaluations. Visit http://www.questionmark.com for more information.
