Distributed Learning Impact Evaluation

February 7, 2001

In 1996, when the University began offering the first web-based courses we began studying teaching and learning in this new instructional environment. From the student perspective, we are examining who enrolls in and succeeds in on-line cours es as well as what students like and dont like about these courses. We are also examining these characteristics with those faculty who teach the fully on-line, W, courses and the web-enhanced, M, courses. In addition, we help on-line faculty with resea rch in their courses.
