Course Advisor Announces Funding, Adds New Directors

Wakefield, MA (April 14, 2005) — Course Advisor Inc., an online research directory for education and training resources, today announced that it had received its first round of funding. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to the company, the funding will be used to add staff and build out technical infrastructure to support the continued traffic growth of http://www.CourseAdvisor.com.

Along with the funding, the company will add two new members to its board of directors – David Blundin and Guy Bradley. Mr. Blundin is CEO of Vestmark Inc. and serves on the boards of several high-tech start-ups. He is also a co-founding board member of a hedge fund that employs data mining techniques and a limited partner in three Boston area venture funds. Mr. Bradley is currently a private investor and a member of Common Angels www.commonangels.com. He is a former director of Common Angels, and a former general partner at @Ventures, the Venture Capital arm of CMGI . While at @Ventures, Mr. Bradley led a dozen investments and sat on the boards of 14 companies. He is currently on the boards of three high-tech startups, including WebCT, the leading provider of learning management systems to colleges and universities, and is a limited partner in several venture funds.
