Commission: State Needs To Monitor Online Schools
Following a critical state audit of the state’s online schools, an independent commission said Thursday that the state education department should do a better job of tracking the performance of the schools and their students.
The Trujillo Commission on Online Education, formed at the request of state Sen. Sue Windels, said the new online division should be set up within the department by July 1 to oversee online schools.
