CollegisEduprise signs technology agreement with Loyola Marymount University

March 15, 2002

Maitland, Fla. and Los Angeles, Calif. – March 14, 2002 – Loyola Marymount

University (LMU) of Los Angeles today announced a seven-year comprehensive technology

management agreement with CollegisEduprise, the leading provider of diversified

technology services to higher education.

The LMU Board of Trustees approved $6 million to fund the first year of the

contract to develop and improve academic and administrative technology infrastructure

and services at LMU’s main campus in west Los Angeles and the Loyola Law School

downtown.

"This technology agreement is an important milestone for LMU and one of

several major initiatives we will be undertaking over the next few years as

we pursue our goal of becoming one of the nation’s most distinguished Catholic

universities," said the Rev. Robert B. Lawton, S.J., president of LMU.

"We recognize that technology is a critical enabler of everything we do

and is essential to successfully realizing our strategic initiatives as a center

of learning and thought in one of the world’s greatest cities, Los Angeles."

The plan calls for equipping and training technology staff in CollegisEduprise

methodologies, providing real time CollegisEduprise corporate expertise and

support. Responsibilities include the management of technology on campus and

online for faculty, staff and students, including expertise and support for

Banner management systems, Oracle Financials, network operations and "24

by 7" help desk support.

CollegisEduprise also pledges to meet LMU goals for improved communication,

teaching and learning among students, faculty and administrators. A suite of

Learning Technology Solutions and strategic services will be offered for the

customization of information technology initiatives across the university.

LMU is the latest in a number of substantial contracts for CollegisEduprise,

including a $26.5 million pact with Salt Lake Community College in Utah, which

was announced in December 2001, and a separate agreement of nearly $8 million

with the prestigious Claremont Graduate University near Los Angeles.

"LMU represents a major step forward for our corporation, but it is representative

of a trend toward technology management at colleges and universities that we

have seen developing for some time," said Tom Huber, president and CEO

of CollegisEduprise. "There has been a willingness and eagerness to improve

technology resources to meet ambitious strategic learning goals."

LMU joins more than 110 other higher education clients serviced by CollegisEduprise

nationwide, including 11 other Catholic institutions such as Boston College,

Seton Hall University, Mount St. Mary’s College, and Regis University. Other

clients include Johns Hopkins University, the University of Maryland, and Tulane

University.
