February 28, 2002

June 9-11, 2002 at Portofino Bay Hotel in Orlando Maitland, Fla. – Feb. 25, 2002 – In the midst of summer recess, some college and university administrators are going back to school of sorts. CollegisEduprise has announced plans for the 2nd annual Executive Summit for higher education leaders interested in advancing emerging trends and discussing strategic issues faced by institutions with regard to technology investments on campus and in an online instructional environment.

This event is co-sponsored by the CollegisEduprise Leadership Alliance, a research and communication forum for higher education leaders, and through partnerships with IBM and PeopleSoft.

The conference takes place at Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando. Other CollegisEduprise corporate sponsors, such as Cisco and Blackboard, will participate in the event.

The Executive Summit is an interactive forum to address key issues facing institutions today, such as:

  • managing the cost and return on technology investment
  • using the Internet for teaching and learning
  • developing new revenue sources
  • attracting and retaining students, faculty and technology staff
  • being responsive to today’s more competitive landscape

Additionally, the findings of the annual CollegisEduprise "Trends and

Priorities" in higher education report created with input from college

to issues that face higher education institutions in today’s competitive environment,"

said Rob Abel, Vice President of Business Development and Chief Marketing Officer

at CollegisEduprise. "Sharing best practices concerning financial, strategic

and operational challenges in an open forum with industry experts is what college
