Collegis selected as Banner implementation partner at Community College of Philadelphia

October 6, 2002

Collegis, the leading provider of comprehensive technology services to higher education, is based in suburban Orlando, Fla. Community College of Philadelphia is the largest degree-granting institution in the city, enrolling more than 40,000 students annually at its main campus, three regional centers, and more than 60 locations throughout Philadelphia.

The three-year, multi-million dollar agreement focuses on Banner implementation and project management services with Collegis serving as the College’s “product neutral” advocate. The partnership provides for a combination of on-site and remote implementation services for the duration of the project.

The selection of Collegis provides Community College of Philadelphia with the expertise and support necessary to optimize the functionality of Banner. As a third-party service provider, Collegis can objectively work with Community College of Philadelphia to achieve true knowledge transfer and provide maximum return on technology investment for the College. This expertise will ensure that the College, its students, faculty and staff realize the greatest system-wide benefits of the Banner product.

“We were impressed with what Collegis has to offer, especially its proven record of successfully implementing Banner as a product independent partner,” said Stephen M. Curtis, president of Community College of Philadelphia. “Collegis provides our campus with comprehensive implementation and project management services that give us control, flexibility and support for this high profile ERP project.”

Community College of Philadelphia joins a list of Collegis’ more than 100 college and university clients nationwide, including five others in the Greater Philadelphia/South Jersey area: Immaculata University, Camden County College, Burlington County College, Brookdale Community College and Ocean County College.
