Collaborative Professional Development for Instructional Technologists

From the earliest days of NITLE’s center in the Midwest, we’ve been learning from instructional technologists at the colleges in this region about their strong interest in drawing on one another for support. The talented and diverse individuals who occupy the space between information technology organizations and academic departments hold a wide variety of titles: “academic information associate,” “academic computing coordinator,” “library and technology consultant,” “media technologist,” and many others. They work in a range of campus organizations: information services, libraries, merged library and information technology organizations, or any one of these combined with a part-time faculty appointment.
