Click2learn’s Aspen Helps CompuCom Sell Expanded E-Support and Help Desk Services

October 31, 2002

BELLEVUE, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Oct. 30, 2002–Click2learn (Nasdaq:CLKS), today announced that CompuCom Systems, Inc., one of the nation’s largest providers of IT outsourcing, technology procurement and systems integration services, has chosen the Aspen Learning Management System (LMS) to help it develop and deliver an expanded offering of its award-winning E-Support and Help Desk Services to CompuCom clients.

“In broadening the scope of our IT outsourcing and system integration services, it has become increasingly important to train and retain qualified help desk and technology staff,” said Cyndie Ewert, director of human resources at CompuCom. “Aspen’s scalable and modular architecture allows us to expand our portfolio of services by adding customized, market-leading learning solutions that enable our customers to develop and support their digital infrastructures.

Aspen will allow CompuCom to enhance the interlocking suite of services it provides for its customers, by making available course content provided by NETg, the largest learning content provider in the nation. This courseware will enable clients to better deploy self-healing technology to reduce the need for help desk calls and desk-side supported visits, thereby facilitating faster problem resolution and resulting in enhanced user productivity and satisfaction.

“If companies are to endure and prosper in the rapidly evolving infrastructure services and outsourcing markets, they must differentiate themselves from their competitors,” said Kevin Oakes, Click2learn CEO and Chairman. “By providing CompuCom with the platform to deliver and measure e-support and knowledge management solutions to its customers, Click2learn is making a viable contribution to increase CompuCom’s competitive edge, market share and overall revenue stream.”

In addition to its use of Aspen to provide customer solutions, CompuCom also recently implemented Aspen internally to deliver and manage a corporate learning initiative it has established to help employees gain key business and professional skills, IT training and certification.
