Educational Media International (EMI) provides an international forum for the exchange of information and views on new developments in educational and mass media. Contributions are drawn from academics and professionals whose ideas and experiences come from a number of countries and contexts.

EMI is devoting the December 2001 issue to teaching and learning strategies in Web-based and networked systems. Of particular interest are articles that describe projects which have demonstrated sound pedagogical underpinnings and research evidence related to learning achievement.
