CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: 2004 BELLWETHER AWARDS

The awards, given in three categories, are granted annually at the Assembly to community colleges with outstanding and trend-setting programs. The 2004 Assembly will be held January 31-February 3, 2004 in at the Hilton in the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla. The Assembly’s tenth anniversary theme is “The Cyclic Workforce: How We Will Live, Work and Learn.”

To qualify for the Bellwether Award, programs must address the Assembly theme, an identified critical issue and the published criteria for eligibility. Further information about the application process is available at http://www.coe.ufl.edu/futures. The application deadline is Oct. 17, 2003.

Bellwether Award finalists will be invited to present at the Assembly. In addition to the Bellwether Award presentations, the Assembly will also give attendees a chance to team up at the Annual Golf Outing, join the party at the Super Bowl Kickoff Reception, attend a free workshop with The Effectiveness Coach®, Bob Moore, and learn from keynote speaker Maddy Dychtwald. Dychtwald, futurist and author of Cycles: How We Will Live, Work and Buy, will examine how our new lifestyles are reshaping the workplace and economy.
