BALTIMORE, and ATLANTA — Caliber Learning Network (Nasdaq: CLBR – news), a leading provider of eLearning infrastructure for strategic corporate initiatives, today announced the scheduled release of version 2.5 of Caliber’s Enterprise Learning Platform (ELP), which offers global customers optimized performance, extended functionality and increased scalability. ELP 2.5 is Caliber’s proprietary technology platform that connects large numbers of enterprise constituents, including employees, suppliers, customers and business partners to enable the delivery of targeted, timely information.

Caliber’s Enterprise Learning Platform is a versatile, distributed and scalable software system that manages the content creation and publishing process, on-demand content recording sessions, the scheduling and coordination of live events and the delivery of live and on-demand content to participants in our classrooms and to remote Internet participants. Application servers in the Caliber Data Center host all the applications necessary to create, deliver and administrate live and on-demand events.

“This next generation of our platform improves the overall product we can deliver to clients by providing additional user functions like digital whiteboard, searchable roster, searchable communication tools, full-screen video, a quick-link toolbar and extended flexibility for customer branding,” said Dr. John Gebhardt, Chief Technology Officer, Caliber.

To coincide with the Training 2001 Conference and Expo in Atlanta, GA this week, Caliber will offer a 30-day free promotional trial of its new technology. Experience Caliber ELP 2.5 by visiting http://w3app.caliber.com/pm/regdefault.asp?calibertech.

“Caliber is investing heavily in technology in order to become the dominant supplier of hosted corporate eLearning solutions. We have worked to improve the capability to test and access the performance and progress of participants against learning goals. We are working to improve the Participant interface so small meetings may be held over the Internet. Additionally, we are also working to improve the Participants experience when taking a course from a workstation inside a corporate Internet. All of these improvements are being developed to improve our ability to deliver Caliber’s services more reliably and efficiently,” said Chris Nguyen, CEO and President, Caliber.
