Barrier-free Advanced Web Design Workshop

March 16, 2001

The complexity of the Web has dictated the need for an advanced Web workshop that addresses these intricacies. Advancements in Web technologies can close the door for many users with disabilities. In most cases, this situation is not necessary. This workshop will address issues related to more advanced Web design and ways to ensure that users with disabilities will not encounter barriers in their Web experience.

This is an eight week workshop that goes beyond dealing with graphics, tables, frames and the common access features. Advanced features like media, captioning, java applets and other popular sophisticated tools will be addressed.
