“It’s ideal for film schools, and for educators in other fields who are creating video and distance learning curriculum,” said Charlie Russell, senior product marketing manager for Avid Xpress DV. “Here’s my favorite statistic: 90% of primetime television is edited using Avid gear. That fact tells anybody that Avid products perform. And it tells film students they’re learning an important language of professional film and video, a real competitive advantage in the job market.”

Purchasing the Avid Xpress DV education package was a cost-effective way for us to make an investment with Avid, the market leader in the post-production industry. At Hofstra University, we pride ourselves in teaching a professional curriculum, and we recognized Avid as being a professional leader. With more than 15 years of technology and engineering built right into the Avid Xpress DV system, it was a product we could trust.”
