ArticuLearn Launches Promotion Giving $3,000 Credit Toward Course Access Keys

March 6, 2001

AUSTIN, Texas (Mar. 5, 2001) – ArticuLearn, Inc., an e-learning application service provider (ASP) and wholly owned subsidiary of VTEL® Corporation (Nasdaq: VTEL), announces the launch of a spring promotion to coincide with Training Magazines Training 2001 Conference and Expo in Atlanta March 5-7, 2001.

ArticuLearn is giving $3,000 credit for course access keys to new customers who purchase an e-learning portal between March 5 and April 30, 2001. A course key is an end users code, which grants access to online training courses within the e-learning portal. The credit is valid within 120 days after an organization purchases its portal.

“As an e-learning ASP, ArticuLearns scalable, turnkey e-learning environment is dramatically reducing costs normally associated with other e-learning initiatives,” said ArticuLearn Chief Executive Officer William McCauslen. “The promotion is designed to give added value to our new portal customers and demonstrate that powerful, leading-edge e-learning systems are not limited to large Fortune 100 organizations with multi-million dollar training budgets.”

ArticuLearns proprietary course key access system gives organizations flexibility in determining how course keys are used, thus simplifying the registration process. One key can unlock one course or a group of courses, depending on the customers requirements.

“ArticuLearns approach to e-learning appeals to many organizations because they maintain maximum control over the creation of their training content without making large up-front investments in time, hardware, software and staffing. This is a core differentiator that sets ArticuLearn apart in the e-learning industry,” said McCauslen.

ArticuLearn will be in Booth 714 at the Training 2001 Conference and Expo as well as Booth 1033 at the upcoming E-learning Conference and Expo held April 18-20, 2001 in Washington D.C. “We would be happy to speak with anyone wishing to learn more about our spring promotion, or the many advantages ArticuLearn offers in e-learning,” said McCauslen.
