Arbitron Inks 3-Yr Contract with GeoLearning to Consolidate, Simplify E-Learning

November 10, 2004

In addition to platform consolidation, Arbitron will purchase e-learning courseware channeled through GeoLearning as part of its 3-year contract. GeoLearning will also provide Internet hosting, maintenance and end-user technical support for Arbitron’s e-learning initiative.

Through GeoLearning, Arbitron can select vendors for different types of e-learning courses—one vendor for IT and desktop training and other vendors for professional development offerings. Arbitron also has the ability to add specific courses for individuals rather than buying an enterprise license across all employees.

“GeoLearning’s single-source approach to enterprise learning is unique in the industry, allowing us to pick and choose best-of-breed content without having to manage multiple vendors,” said Glenn Fernandez, Director, Talent Development at Arbitron. “With GeoLearning, we can offer our people a selection of the best training courses to fit their individual and departmental needs. Arbitron is only as strong as its people, and providing our staff with cutting edge development and education tools will enable us to maintain a strong and knowledgeable workforce.”
