ADL supports deployed pilots

One ADL application is proved in the combat environment. Delex Systems, Inc. of Vienna, VA, holds a contract with the Navy and the Joint ADL Co-Laboratory to conduct an applied research project using the companys adaptive learning technology with Web-based instruction for EA-6B Prowler pilots. During the air war over Yugoslavia in 1999, the company noted, Navy and Marine pilots flying missions were pulling up its ADL EA-6B refresher courses off the Web while on base at Aviano, Italy, using the classified DoD SIPRNet (Secret Internet Protocol Router Network). Lessons learned during the deployment were exchanged in near real time through the ADL vehicle.
