The acquisition marks consolidation in the online learning market, a category that is currently experiencing enormous momentum.

Achieva will use the acquisition to scale its popular test preparation services to reach nearly every school district in America, broaden its branded offerings, and increase its product development capabilities. The transaction was made for an undisclosed amount and is expected to close in Q2, 2001.
