Teaching and Learning at a Distance: Foundations of Distance Education
Teaching and Learning at a Distance: Foundations of Distance Education. Michael Simonson. Prentice Hall, Inc. 2000.
Everett Rogers, in his book Diffusion of Innovations, defined innovation as, an idea, practice, or object perceived as new by an individual. Certainly, distance education is new to most of us. This text attempts to link what teachers and trainers know and understand about the learning process to the new idea of learners in different locations and times. The authors feel once educators become familiar with the innovation called distance education, they will find out how important and how much fun it really is.
